Maluko de beko began as a fusion of musicians from different traditions and cultures and became a meeting point for people from Cordoba and other cities that come together through art and performance. From the beginning Maluko de Beko was influenced by Brazilian percussionists including Fernando Marconi, Mario Bahia, Alex Rosa and Claudio Ramos. These influences bring together a mixture of Brazilian rhythms like Samba Batucada, funky, Ixaxasamba reggae. Maluko de Beko performances include other performing arts like fire performance, dance and story telling, all combined to create a contagious explosion of sounds and images.
