Pentonville Prison V

Being in prison was good fun, new, exciting, it was horrible! Through my mind things like “loser”, “useless”, “coward”, “irresponsible” came across all the time. The hardest thing for me to fight against was the image I had of myself. I was aware that my mind could take me down I’ve always known that, but there wasn’t any alcohol or drugs; no “run away”, no nothing… FACE IT! – I don’t want to!! – There is no escape for you, GO ON! … and I did it and you know what, once you face your fears, they just vanished and things became less traumatic.

This 3 minutes audio is about the first time Marilo (my partner) came to visit me and how things were going inside…

    That’s amazing!
I get so excited listening to every new chapter and the last one really kept me wanting more…
The write up is very moving and explains a lot about what is going on inside (inside people and inside prison).
I always used to think that prisons were inhuman and terrible and useless, and although it obviously is a difficult experience, i now see the positive aspects of it all! It is like after so many messages from the universe were ignored, the only choice for inner growth was to force one into aloneness, reflection and change through the prison experience…
I also find from personal reflection that the most traumatic and painful experiences on the human level are always the most transformative and beneficial on the soul level. So thank you for these words of wisdom, honesty and strength Billy, and a great message of hope for the world here! Bravo!

Come on Thierry… I can tell you, you are not shy, actually, everything but shy, I think you should make an audio diary, just choose a subject and talk for 2 or 3 minutes and see how it looks. If you need to do some editing, I’ll be there to help

This is so pretty! Lovely music, beautiful voice and brilliantly edited.

I hope it gets an award or some big recognition.
I am amazed by the logos at the bottom too.

Most interesting. Could a disabled person join this to express their sexual
    inprisonment?

Hi Dr Tuppy and thanks for your comment, I’m feeling quite flattered… Of course you can join this blog, but I am afraid we are talking about arts and I don’t think sexual content is what we are looking for… do you paint? do you write? sing maybe? that is more than welcome. By the way, we will have the launch of this website on Thursday 8th at St John’s Waterloo, if you live in London, come around. check http://tenfeetaway.wordpress.com/news/ Hope to hear from you
