I was not thinking of anything
I was creating a vision of the sounds of the streets
Skateboarders, discos, the far distant, rhythms of Buskers
And the rhythms of the moving London
Potent smells and acrid tastes
Soft touches and lightning movement
A two line poem I had previously composed
Found rhythm and shape
On these beats of London
John Sheehy
and Heartbeat

John! I love your new painting of sounds…….and as you know , I love all that you write. I also love the poem billy wrote “Ghost”….I think all your friends are wonderful, creative and very interesting. It is nice sometimes to shut our eyes and really listen to the sounds around us.
The sounds of trains have always been apart of my life. I was born in a little house very very close to a railroad track …..there was probably a train blowing its horn when I was entering into the world , maybe thats why I like the sound of trains. Did John Sheehy, tell you that I painted him a flower pot of a light house? I have never met John , in person . We became email friends off of the internet. I too was homeless at one time in my life . I don’t read music but I like to sing, also I paint and I write poems once in awhile. I will be 58 years old this Christmas. I have 3 grown children and 9 grandchildren. Paulette

Hello John,
I believe you are growning as an Artist. What I didn’t have time to say last week about heartbeat is when I look at this painting I see eyes looking back at me causing me to think that the Bible does say the eyes are the windows of our souls, and I see a mouth which makes me think of where the Bible says from out of the heart the mouth speaketh, also I see a few horns that play music and the heart like music from a horn ,beats to it own rhythm.
